The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee premiered on Broadway in 2005 and quickly became a modern musical theatre favorite. Known for its witty script, audience participation elements, and character-driven storytelling, the show balances laugh-out-loud comedy with moments of genuine sincerity.
Though the characters are middle school students, all roles are traditionally performed by adult actors. The production features a small but highly featured cast — every character plays a significant and memorable role in the story.
